FAQ
Questions, answered
How does the free trial work?
After 7 days, a license is required to continue. No subscription or automatic payment starts when the trial ends.
Does one license cover the desktop app and the web app?
Sign in to the desktop or web app with the same account to activate your license.
Where is my email stored?
Aven connects to your email provider and works on desktop and in the browser. Using the web app also involves online services; local storage does not mean that all processing stays on your device.
Which email providers work?
Gmail works everywhere. Outlook, iCloud Mail, Yahoo, Fastmail and any IMAP/SMTP server work in the desktop app; browsers cannot open IMAP connections, so the web app connects Gmail.
AI on your terms
Summaries, reply suggestions and writing assistance with the AI provider you configure. Content needed for a request is processed by that provider.
Does Aven work offline?
The desktop app does: archive, label, reply and send without a connection, and everything syncs the moment you are back online.
